For a decade, Spike Fuck has felt more like a myth than a conventional artist, with sporadic releases, rumours, addiction and survival all shaping the story. His lyrics stay timeless, wounded and confessional, balancing melancholy with humour in a way that feels lived-in and unvarnished.

On evidence, he draws from Pere Ubu, New York Dolls, The Temptations and Bettye Swan, mixing new wave, glam, soul and doo-wop. Highlights include Bored to Death, All By Myself, Sweet Release and Getting Sober, with shades of Suicide and a David Lynch film.
